My agenda as Graduate Student Council Representative:
- More opportunities to network and connect with students, beyond quorum call, more structured and funded
- Improve management of course enrollment and simplify process
- More small class and seminar options
- More Harvard-wide opportunities for graduate students to gather and connect with other Harvard schools
- Better integration activities between MPA, MPP, and MC-MPA, including days of joint orientation
- More events with programs and professors from other Harvard schools
- Opportunities for furnished Harvard housing apartments for HKS students
- Advisors or program staff knowledgeable about resources at other schools at Harvard that interest HKS students
- Better coffee in the lounge, longer cafeteria hours, better food at activities, free donuts
- Consolidating all opportunities for funding/traveling, clubs, centers, and initiatives in one place by deadline
- Increase options for international-related classes and studies
- More campus sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and make Harvard greener
- Facilitate unity, support between students, and spaces for non-popular thoughts to be heard
- Improve controls of local room temperature to maintain comfort levels for all
- More information during orientation periods on course selection and opportunities at HKS, including Centers
- Improve availability of books in the library for full access to electronic versions
- Improve career services with more tailored support, expanding mentorship, internships, and alumni connections
- Campus Facilities and Technology: More phone booths, study spaces, and collaboration tools
